I am sooo excited because we are scheduled for our first social worker visit. We will travel to Atlanta on Monday to meet with our sw. He told me today that he can have his part done in two weeks, but then we would have to wait for the GBI to get our fingerprints. That may take 4-6 weeks. Ugh!! I pray that things will prove to be smooth, but I am ready for a wait. Anyway, once we have finished the homestudy I guess we are ready for the dossier collection.
Also, the families who just went to VN are now back. I hope to see some updated pictures that any of them may have. Hope all is well with everyone.

Okay, I have a little more time to write. Samuel is in Ninh Thuan Province of Vietnam. We found his picture on the Dillon waiting child list and I immediately fell in love. It took lots of prayer to convince my husband and I was afraid Samuel would not be available, but God is in control and he is now going to be ours. Anyway, all of the pictures we had were of him frowning. I was afraid he was really upset, but after joining our Vietnam blog I found out he has a great character. Some of the other couples talked about seeing him and how much fun he was. We finally got a picture of him smiling but for some reason I can't get it to post. I will keep trying.
We are really getting antsy and want to hear something soon. Please pray that things will really pick up and go smooth. Thanks for taking time to keep up with us.

Trying for a picture
I am trying desperately to post a picture of Samuel for everyone to see. Not being a very technological person I am having a difficult time. Keep checking back for a photo.

Here we go!!
Okay, so I am just learning a little about blogging. Just for a little background info, I have been praying to adopt for about two years. Finally this Christmas my husband agreed and on Jan. 4, 2007 we started the process. At first there was a little bit of confusion and I thought our little guy had been matched with another family. Thankfully the staff at Dillon reassured me that Samuel was ours. So we have been learning a lot and trying to depend on God. You know this can really test your patience and everything else. I know God has a grand and glorious plan. I just hope I can wait on it. Anyway, today I mailed our I-600A and our application to begin our homestudy. We have to go through a different agency for that since Dillon does not have an office in GA. I am praying for a quick homestudy process and then to quickly collect my dossier so that we can catch up with Tina. I know Samuel and Alex would do better by traveling together. Please pray for us as we embark on this wonderful journey.
