Discouraged...

Well, a few of you are still reading, so I will give a quick update. It seems the Great Recession has pushed lots of folks into the military and there is not a single branch with an opening for a trumpet player. Not even for one with scores off the chart!!! So we wait for God. However, the waiting is hard. Jim is so discouraged. He really knew that this was the time for a change and we thought this was the change.

Not much else is going on in our life. Really everything else is on hold until we find direction for next year. School with the kids is going great! It's actually the best year we have had. This year we moved school into the dining room so the kids get ready and put their backpacks on and stand in front of the french doors to the dining room, waiting for me to start class. It's really cute. I guess I'll have to get a picture.

And one other thing, I know some of you read Katie's blog, but her recent post just really got to me so please click over and read it http://kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com It really broke my heart and made me think all at the same time.

Amy,

I love you, and will be praying. We really should get together some afternoon...is there anywhere to meet in the middle? Maybe we could find a park?

Amy so sorry you are having such a difficult time. I think right now many are in the same boat. I hadn't read Katie's most recent post. I don't know how she does it. She amazes me and at the same time makes me ashamed that I feel so selfish. Blessings to you all.
