Okay many of you read in my recent post about my heart's desire to adopt again. I know that this is God's plan for our life, but right now it seems so impossible. I feel like I may never have the privilege to adopt again. I had prayed and prayed for God to give me just a small glimpse of hope and here was what he gave me:
Jeremiah 29:11-14 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you
When I first saw this in my devotional this week I was like "yeah, yeah, I've read that. I know God has a plan for me." Truly my heart was not really into it. But as I began to read God spoke to my heart and gave me just the small whisper I needed that this season was not forever. He promises to restore my fortunes (to me that means getting out of debt and finding affordable housing). Also, to gather us from all nations. Praise Jesus!! Jim and I have joked about a multi-cultural family, but I truly do think God will give us a very diverse family. Please pray with me that I can continue to seek Him.

What will it take?
That is the question I have been asking the Lord. I feel called to adopt again, but there is absolutely no way any agency would even consider us at this point of our financial state. Even so my heart is heavy. I have cried out for the Lord to take away this desire or give me some glimpse of possiblity. Even tonight as we talked about our upcoming mission trip, Grace asks, if she saves up enough money for a one way ticket can we bring a sister back from South Africa. Lord our hearts are ready and I know with you it is possible, but can I just have a small window of possiblity? Please pray for me.

May new addiction...
Okay, I must confess I have a new addiction and it is clipping coupons!!! I'm serious, it is a serious addiction and a major high. Just last night I got $132 of stuff for a little over $70. Now I know that's not much for some, but for my first go at it I was happy. Today I did a little better... four boxes of cereal worth $15 for only $4. So if anyone has any good tips I am open, just leave me a comment.

What a Week!!!!
This has been one crazy week. Friday my husband had to leave for Atlanta for his monthly National Guard duty. So since Saturday was his birthday we had a small party for him. That was fun!! Got him off to Atlanta and the kids and I settled in for an easy weekend. Saturday some girls from church and I went out to dinner and a movie and my sweet mom kept the kids.
Sunday hit and things began to spin crazy. A very wet and cold storm blew in. By Monday morning we were without power and stayed that way for 14 hours!!! BBBRRRR!!! Well, my dear hubby was in Atlanta preparing for the governor's inauguration. Then, I get a text.... they are snowed in and have to call for the HUM-V to come get them!!! Oh boy!! He makes it thru the day's events but can't come home. So we wait, at my mom's because our house is like an icebox. Tuesday, he tries again to come home, but again is unsuccessful. Again another night with my dear mother.
Finally today he sends me a text of them driving out of the apartment complex. The road is still covered in ice and they don't dare stop at the stop sign, but hey, he is on the way home. Before I could even respond to the text, my phone rings and Jim is telling me they slid and now are stuck on the side of the road. Boy oh Boy!!! Luckily the guys in his band really wanted practice tonight and they happen to be great prayer warriors. Jim was finally able to inch his way out of Atlanta and is now home!!! Thank you Jesus!!
I know for some of you that story was no big deal, but for this south Georgia girl it was serious business. And if you read this send up a prayer for the electric crews who are still working to restore power to some and for those without power.

There is not much to post really. We arrived back home late on Sunday night. So we took Monday off from school to run some errands. Then I decided yesterday that I needed to get some things done around the house. Today, same thing. So I have decided that school is out for the week and we will resume Monday. It's nice to be able to set my own schedule. Anyway, hope all of you are having a great day.
