What a year...

This is my final post for the year. It has been a year with lots of ups and downs. One of the biggest things was the passing of my father. I miss my daddy terribly, but I know he is healed and no longer in pain. We have also seen financial struggles with budget cuts and other things, but we have finally figured out that we need a lifestyle change to live more freely for God. (Sorry it took us so long Lord!) On the positive side I have seen great improvement in Grace's reading ability and how she memorizes scripture. Samuel feels more like he has just always been with us. He has been sick over the holidays and is just now returning to his normal self. I realized then how much I have come to love his spark, spunk and the sparkle in his eyes. Blake is becoming more and more of a young man. He is very interested in attending Moody Bible Institute and was thrilled that his daddy was able to go there while in Chicago! Jim and I are trying to take one day at a time and just enjoy each other and our family. We praise God for all of our rich blessings and pray He continues to bless us with these wonderful gifts. Our prayer for next year is to find ourselves on a financially sturdy path and be able to bring more children into our home.
I pray that each and everyone of you has a very Happy New Year. I also pray that if you are reading this and don't know Jesus as Savior you will seek Him and find the peace that will last for eternity. What a way to start a new year!!

Happy New Year, sweet friend!
I was hoping it would snow last night so we could take sleeping bags and go spend the night with you. ;)
