Wife Night...
Well, let me just say thanks to my wonderful husband who has started wife night. He started about two months ago making every Thursday night, Wife Night. I've tried for years to get him to do something like this, but a very sweet and dear friend, Ms. Elise, has bugged him enough that he has now started. Thanks Ms. Elise!!! Sometimes wife night is a date with my hubby, or a movie after the kids are to bed. Once it was even my hubby doing the floors for me. But tonight it is a night for mom!!! I am currently at the local university, in their brand new library, enjoying a very fast computer. I know it doesn't take much to please me. Anyway, I just wanted to share how absolutely blessed I am!!!

Summer!!!!
So summer has begun for us. Jim is finishing his post planning this week and then we will begin our fun time. We have a fairly busy summer, but not as busy as some. For the first couple of weeks we will hang out around the house. Then mid-June we are planning a trip to Tulsa for VN weekend. This is an exciting trip. I will finally get to meet some of the folks I have known via the web. This will also be pretty exciting for the kiddos as it will be their first plane ride. My only worry is that Samuel may think we are taking him to VN. This will be his first ride since he came home. Please pray for safety and sanity as this will be a solo parenting trip. Jim will be in Jekyll Island with the National Guard.
At the end of June Jim will complete his two weeks of summer duty. This will mean the kids and I will most likely be taking several mini-trips so that I can retain some sanity. After the 4th we will both begin planning and working towards next school year.
In other news Grace has lost her first (and second) tooth. Monday night we got the first one and then today she lost the second one. She was so very excited. It was like a rite of passage for her. She looks very cute with her gap.
Hope everyone is having a great start to summer. Hope to see lots of my readers in Tulsa.

Imitation...
We all know that kids learn by imitating what others do. Well, let me share our last imitation. Samuel has made his own deodorant stick out of a piece of paper. He gets it out each night just like big brother and puts it on after his shower. Tonight was the first night I noticed, but he's been doing this for a week or so now. It is quite funny.
Blake has also been doing a little imitating. This weekend he had two things scheduled at the same time. He had told his Granny he would go with her to a craft show. Then the coach said they were going to play a make-up game on Friday. This was a decision Blake would have to make. He chose to go with his Granny. His reasoning was that he had already given his word. Such an honorable young man, just like his father. Well, Jim decided that this time he could do both. So after the game, Jim drove Blake two hours to the craft show so he could spend the night with my mom and be there with her tomorrow.
As I reflect on this in the light of the upcoming holiday I marvel at how blessed I am. From the conception of Blake, Jim and I could have decided to take a completely different path. However, we decided to confess our sin and turn to God. And boy look at where He has brought us. I would never have imagined my life as full as it is now. My husband and kids really make my life here complete. Thank you Jesus for taking our mistake and making it Your blessing. Happy Mother's Day.

Boarding School
Okay, I have now decided to begin researching boarding schools. Why? Well this weekend we took 25 band students to Wild Adventures. 23 of these students were 7th and 8th graders. Should I say anymore? OMG!!! They just about made me crazy. Between the drama of the girls and the one couple that couldn't seem to stay apart. The girls were constantly at each others throats and fussing, to the point we had to reshuffle walking around groups. None of this, mind you, bothered my husband. If it did he did not show it. However it bothered me enough for the both of us. Really I can't stand the blatant disobiedence, the attitude, and the total lack of respect. 99.9% of this came from girls. There was only one boy who was part of the problem. I think Grace can hang it up hoping for a sister. Needless to say we won't be going on any more trips with Jim.
I also need to update our principal status. The superintendent has decided to honor our principal's request to stay at Jim's school. Yeah!!! So we have him for at least another year.
To tell you about our fun this weekend. My two big kids are real rollercoaster junkies. They rode anything they were big enough for. Blake rode the Cheetah which has some amazing drops and the Hangman which turns you upside down and such. Grace liked Bug Out which makes you think you are going over the edge way up high. Now Samuel was a sight! He would ride the couple of rollercoasters he was big enough for, but I had to hold his hands up. Overall we had a great weekend. I loved riding the rides with my kiddos and just spending time together.
